Hello,
I have picked hosta seed pods while still green, I have since read that they should be picked when brown, will they still be ok, or are they ruined!

Owdboggy, Just thought you'd be interested to know I opened one of the pods, and there were blacks seed inside, although not many, better than none! I will open the rest soon.

Not sure, but if the seeds inside the pods are black, then you might be ok. If the seeds are still green/white then, you may well have picked them too early.
