We have a 1cm. long caterpillar light green in colour with a yellow head eating the leaves on our rose bushes. Can you tell us what it is?

Apparently not, without further information or a photograph. You've already been answered - usual caterpillar pests on roses are Large Rose Sawfly (not green) or Rose Leaf Rolling Sawfly (10mm green caterpillars). If its not these, then without a picture, its hard to say.

Does it have a hairy body? If so it could possibly be Bristly Roseslug but as Bamboo says, it is very hard to say without a photo.
