I want to transplant a crown of rhubarb from my allotment to my garden, how do I do it and when will I be able to harvest it?

once it gets unfrozen lift it and replant asap. Then resist picking it this year. if you cant resist then only take a third of the stalks. If it produces a flower spike cut it out.
