We have got toadstools or mushrooms growing in the lawn. Can they be used?

The fungi you are likely to find growing in lawns are not normally edible. As Catty says unless you are an expert best to either let them die back naturally or put a plastic bag over your hand and pick and dispose of.

Some good to eat, some deadly poisonous and most just boring or nasty. There are hundreds of sorts but none last long and will disappear on their own.Never eat one that hasn't been positively identified by someone who really knows.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome advice. I have left them alone and most have disappeared.
