I bought some daffodil bulbs several weeks ago to plant in my newly renovated garden, but unfortunately due to family illness my garden renovation did not happen and is being put on hold until the spring, is there any way I can store my daffodil bulbs for 12months without them sprouting. Trudy

Urbanite is offering you the only viable solution. The bulbs wont survive out of the ground for a whole year.

I think the lesson is don't count your chickens or, more appropriately, don't buy your plants until your garden's ready. (Speaking from experience of having bought a lovely camellia earlier in the year when I thought moving house would be 6 weeks rather than over 6 months)

Could you put them into pots as a temporary measure?
