Hello,
I have a Salvia which I want to move, I think this is the right time of year to move it but what I'm not sure about is should I cut it back before I move it. Its normally in Spring when this is done so not sure whether to just lift the whole plant now and cut it back in spring as I normally do?
On plant
Salvia

Hi
Thanks for answer, not sure which type it is, but looking at pics online it looks like the nemorosa type.

It should be fine to transplant, then. :-)

Which Salvia is it? The 'nemorosa' type should be OK if you can see new growth at the base - I'd cut it back and replant it now. The shrubby ones shouldn't be cut back until the spring (if they survive) and when you can see new growth.
