Hi June and welcome to GoY. You don't prune your autumn fruiting raspberries until next February or even March.

I've usually cut mine off in autumn after leaf fall and no harm apparent so perhaps its not critical?

Books say Feb/March and, when we had them, that is when we cut back. My guess would be you don't want the cane to start growing in late autumn.

Good point. I'll do them when I do the gooseberries then.

Mine are still producing, so I'm waiting 'til spring
