I am toying with the idea of trying Square Foot Gardening in my small but sunny font garden. Any tips? Anyone know what the best growing medium is or what veg works best grown like this? Many thanks.

Previous question
i have not tried this my self but have grown veg in small patches and i have read a lot about square gardening. leaf crops are good especially cut and come again types, saladings, chinese, lettuce. also small carrots, sweetheart, rondo. squashes, bush types. bush tomatoes, radishes, small beetroots. the idea is that you get a good turnover of crops, always moving them around the squares so you don't plant the same crop twice in the same square. make sure you take into account the height of the crops, so that you are not shading small crops. hope this helps, happy gardening.
