I have a bottle brush callistemon citrinus red bush.
Some of the leaves have went all brown so i cut it back a bit. Do you think it will be OK ?as the leaves that are there are green but kind of hard I hope it flowers as this is the first thing my boy freind bought me.

Thankyou so much that was so kind of you to reply.
I have it in the greenhouse as it was a bad winter and i did not know what else to do with it. but as soon as the frost is gone i will put it out in April as you said. I might have to re pot too. FINGERS X Thankyou again .Anne

Ah, okay, well I'll change what I said a bit then! If you've had it in the greenhouse, you will have to harden it off before leaving it outside if you want to get it out there before mid May - do this by leaving it out during the day for a few hours, extending the time you leave it out for over a week or so, then leave it out overnight (a mild one).

Previous question
If you can get it to a sheltered spot outside (assuming it's not already) then do - it's okay to remove dead growth, but that would have been best left till April, as its still so cold. Never mind, you've done it now, and I'm sure it will be fine - but you won't really know till the end of April.
