lupins as house plants?
I want to keep my lupins in my flat, can i do this. Or do they have to be planted out?

They also need cold winters - just below freezing. I would like to have them, but it just doesn't get cold enough.

a friend tried to grow hers in a cool conservatory. they were well cossetted but came to very little. they prefer poor soils and thrive on neglect [but they do need water]

They probably won't be very happy as they like lots of light. They may also get aphids etc if they are unhappy. Find a friend with a garden and donate them to them, then you have an excuse to visit them!
