Cobnut/hazelnut maintenance ? I have two of these cobnut trees at the end of the garden. Should I be thinning out any of these branches? Thank you for all your help on this website this last year. I have learnt so much. Happy New Year !

Hi, these tend to produce suckers, especially so on grafted plants, and they should be pruned out as close to the ground as possible, but I would leave the main branches alone, the suckers are the thinner ones, Derek.
