What type of plant is this?

Id like to know the type of plant this is and if its poisonous to cats. Please help!

I had a male Blue & Gold Macaw devour several leaves on my plant that look identical to this. The stalks break off very easily . . . correct? Well, luckily my Blue & Gold is still alive today. Hope my input helps answer your question.
