There's no formula for this, you know - provided you've got drainage in the container, water when the surface of the compost appears to have dried out slightly and water thoroughly when you do it. If you're not sure, water till you see it coming out of the bottom of the pot. Air temperature makes a difference to - obviously the plant will use more moisture when the weather's hot and the plant's growing than it will in cold, winter weather.
