How do I get rid of chives growing in my lawn (all over)

Yes absolutely. I hate anything to do with onions so when I mow the grass you can imagine that the smell is instantly recognisable!!

Probably Muscari. Mowing should discourage it.

No not Muscari definately chives or very very similar

my muscari doesn't smell like onions. sorry bob all you can do is mow it. bye the way way welcome to the GOY site,we are not much help here are we ?

i wonder if what you have growing is something like ipheion,its smells of onion when crushed. its a spring bulb with narrow semi erect, basal,leaves,grows 4-6inchs and a pain to get rid of.they are pretty but spread like mad.i have them in my garden.you need to dig them up if that what these are or they will take over.

No instant cure then. will have to dig up most of lawn. I shall keep mowing and suffer the smell !!!
