Hi I am only a novis gardener I have a solanium over an arch the plant leafs have turned black with the frost I is it safe to cut it back and hope that it starts growing again, I have sraped the bark and its still green.regards trevor

Leave it as it is, the old leaves will protect the new growth which will start soon and then they will fall off.
