hardiest variety of Ajuga,? would it suppress bracken, which tries to invade from outside garden,also perennial and low growing, to grow around shrubs, there are trees behind,and grass up to border

In my experience, nothing suppresses bracken - it even grows in dark corners under and through mature shrubs.

its hardy temperature wise. but it wont supress bracken I have ajuga around small native ferns and the ferns grow through it, so does arum macculatum. It forms a pretty carpet around shrbs though.
