my camellia is about 4yrs old and is planted in a fairly large pot, moved it from an east facing spot to a south facing area,it has buds on it

Keep it somewhere sheltered it does not like morning sun on its flower buds if it has been frosted overnight. Alternatively cover it with fleece if you know there is going to be a frost. We did this last night with a rhododendron and it protected it perfectly went down to around -3˚
