Can someone identify this plant please and inform me when I should sow the seeds I have obtained from a café in Kefalonia.
Thank you

Hi, have a look at Celosia argentia, crystata group, that is about the nearest I can come up with.
If it is, you should sow the seed early to late spring at 64 deg f, Derek.

Common name is Cookscombe, it's a messed up variety of Celosia

Hi, whatever you do, do not plant them out in early spring, they are half hardy at best, sow the seed in early to late spring at 64 deg f, grow them on and plant out after all danger of frost has passed, after having hardened them off gradually to outdoor conditions, Derek.

Thank you again........
I will do just that appreciating you only get one chance when something has been used to growing in almost tropical conditions.
Thank you

Previous question
Sorry not up on the plants of the Greek Islands but I suspect if it is a native to Kefalonia you will have challenges growing in the UK.
