my torbay palm which stands as tall as my house and last year produced a large flower head has suffered severe damage during this harsh winter. the leaves are gradually falling off. there are practically none left will the palm have survived and still be alive or do I remove it completely.

If there's no growth at the top by the end of April, you can try cutting the trunk down by up to half in hopes this will encourage either new growth from the base, or further up the trunk.

you cant remove it because the roots would have buried to far in my aunt had the same problem and she left it and it revied and was fine
