Augustine Henry was born in Dundee of Irish parents who moved back to Ireland shortly afterwards. He studied medicine and worked in China for 20 years and included much botaniocal study and collecting in his time there. His collections included up to 500 new species but I am not able to find out if Aconitum henryi was one of them. It may have been collected by him or collected by another plantsman and named in Henry's honour. Interesting question for a cold, wet day.
