chiastophyllum Care

West Midlands, United Kingdom

I bought 2 of these( very healthy looking) plants a few months ago and naturally want the best for them, but I have read they need damp soil and that they well drained soil. With their thick leaves I would have thought dry. I think I know they need shade , but any advice welcome as to soil type and care etc:-)

needs moist soil in mostly shade - does best with its roots in the shade and its leaves in a bit of sun, but as this is a small plant, I've never yet managed to achieve those conditions!

I do have shade Bamboo, not deep, you know not under something. What about soil type and do yours flower well?

I've got it in a client's garden in normal London clay based garden soil in shade, though the one that flowers best does get a little bit of sun early in the day.
