Wisteria.I've had a wisteria for must be 7 years now without a flower.My problem is that I am never sure about pruning it.Seem to get different advice from everyone.Am now totally confused and wonder if anyone would kindly explain just how to do it.Many thanks Sorry forgot to add that I'm in East Yorkshire.

The advice I was given was to cut it back to about five buds in the autumn, then down to three in the spring. I have to admit that what I actually do is to cut the long wispy bits back all through the summer, and give the long shoots a good chop in early spring. But it is many years old, and rampages all over the place.
