Well, you need to be careful coz if you pull the leaves too hard you risk uprooting the plant. Just give the outermost dead leaves a gentle tug and they usually come away quite easily. If they don't come off, don't force them. You can cut them off if they really bother you. Obviously, don't remove the green leaves.
