Unfortunately, very few members of the Roseaceae (Rose family) from the stone fruit section (consisting mostly of the genus Prunus) will not propagate from cuttings. That is why they are invariably grafted. Occasionally they may be micro propagated but this is a specialised technique involving special equipment.

As an afterthought, are there any branches that reach to the ground? You could try layering if any suitable branches do.
