I have also lost a large cordyline this year. Just replaced it with another (in a pot) Its the cold winter we have just experienced.as. SID says. Remember it is a mediterranean plant!!

If you look back through the questions there have been lots of questions about Cordylines lately - the short answer is, it's been too cold for them.
