Hi Everyone, I would like to have a go at growing button mushrooms outside on my allotment. Can anyone advise me as to how to do this, and has anyone got any experience in mushroom growing ? Many thanks.

I always understood they were grown in the dark too… Big mushroom sheds!

as they are a fungus they dont need light but to get a suitable crop they are better grown in a box in a warm place. The mushroom kits work quite well. the girls grew them some years ago for a bit of fun.
