is there a problem planting a prunus cerasus .Does it have root spread problems like willows have.

On plant Prunus cerasus

Answers

The thing to remember is that any tree has a root system which is likely to be similar to the spead of the canopy - so it's not a good idea to plant ANY tree close to your house.

P.S. I've just read your profile, and 6' is indeed too close. Sorry....
