i am curious as to why it has gone limp in the last few weeks, as the weather is beginning to warm up could it be the area around it is dry and the plant needs watering.

Hi Adisney first thing to do to check if it is alive is to scrape away a very small amount of bark with a finger nail - if it looks green underneath then all is well if not then you probably have a dead shrub.
Last winter was hard on all shrubs but especially on those that had been moved in the autumn.
