Hi Nancy it's Cerastium tomentosum...snow on the mountain... I love the stuff but many people find it becomes a nuisance if it is too happy (spreads and crowds) I only wish the flowers lasted a little longer as they seem to go to seed very quickly...but while they last they are a glorius white snowflake over a silver green carpet...

Thankyou Lori. I thought that was what it was called but when I looked it up the sources referred to what we know as gout weed...a real menace to a garden. I shall now add this name to my plant list.
I have another white flowering plant in bloom now too. Must see if you know that one as well.

Goutweed is Bishops Weed is Aegopodium podagraria...and it is a championship spreader...but also a lovely plant for shady places and rough spots where nothing else will grow... As long as those ground rules are set it can try to go where it likes and I will rip it out if I don't want it there! ahaha.

How do I say thanks?
