I have a well established grape vine, 24 hours ago I cut what i thought was some dead branches off but these are still dripping, is this normal ?.

Hi Gooner as SBG says prune in the middle of winter. The vine will need a bit of t/l/c/ for a few weeks/ There is no problem with cutting back the new season's growth if it starts to get out of hand.

yes. The 'bleeding' will stop but next year prune in the depths of winter. I escape on xmas day to do ours. Make sure you keep it well watered for the next few weeks or so.
