Is is possible to grow purple heather from existing purple heather plants

Answers

Yes, you can take cuttings or layer it. Take semi-ripe cuttings in late summer/autumn form non-flowering shoots about 4 inches long. Strip off the bottom leaves and put into a pot of compost and then in a propagator or plastic bags. To layer, peg down a low branch into the soil in Spring (now!) and it should have rooted by next Spring.
