i have an area of land about 20 ft x 60 tf it is just weed at moment mainly nettle and thistles i have cut all weeds 2 floor , would like a nice lawn now . do i weed kill and top soil , do i turf or seed ? will i need root killer ? and how long must i leave it before turfing/seeding ? confused

you will have to get all the roots out or they will grow up through your new turf. digging out is the best method, though spraying any new weed growth with a glycophosphate is an alternative.
