Hi Andyf,

If you are planting these out in beds, don't try it yet, as the risk of frost in the UK will not pass till early - mid May at the latest, though you don't say whether you are north or south. They seem to be very tender (fussy!) plants, and I'm not sure the slugs wouldn't have a field day either. With any luck, someone who knows more about them will also post an answer to your q.
