My geranium leaves have turned white and brown and papery. Also I have noticed lots of whte bugs like mini grasshoppers. Also I have taken some cuttings off the healthy looking bits and put them straight into fresh compost, is this ok?

I'm not too sure but I bought it as part of 12 tiny shrubs from BnQ last year. They were for outside. They all died in the winter but this one I took indoors and it sits n my window ledge.

Hmm, well, okay, what kind of flowers did it have - were they brightly coloured and large, with a head of flowers made up of individual little flowers, usually on a longish, upright stalk? Or were they less than an inch across and individual flowers on a bush with rather floppy, soft leaves? Otherwise, post a photograph

Bright orangeu red with a head of flowers on a long stalk. It is just in bud now with 2 new flower heads. Since my original post I think the cuttings are dying as they have all flopped and wilted.

The white brown and papery may be due to hot sun, or to temperature fluctuation - hot during the day, cold at night. The white insects are probably white fly, which is a real problem - Provado may have something, but otherwise, there's no effective treatment for whitefly other than biological controls in greenhouses. You're describing a pelargonium geranium, by the way - I was confused by your use of the term "shrubs" in your second answer! Sounds like you bought summer bedding, most of which must be replaced yearly, unless you manage to get the geraniums through the winter.

Do you mean pelargonium geraniums - I'll assume you do, but are they inside or outside?
