I have a muddy patch (about 4 x 5 square metres) which is very sheltered with three walls around it so limited sunshine as north-facing and we live on the South Coast very near the sea. I would like to turn it in to a vegetable patch. Any ideas what might grow there?

not while its marshy . you need to find out why it is so wet.the other thing you could do is work with it and have a bog garden or pond there perhaps.
