Most fruit trees are planted in the autumn/winter after the leaves have gone and when they are dormant. Take a good rootball if you can and make sure the hole is ready to receive it. Water but do not feed. Keep watering during the spring of the next year until you are sure the tree has "taken". You can only try. Good luck.
