Is a Salnum liable to be affected by frost if planted now.

No such plant as Salnum - do you mean Solanum? Depends which one, if you do.

Do you mean a Solanum? There are several - we need to know which you mean to be able to answer your question. For example, there's a tender one called Solanum rantonettii which won't stand any frost, while the shrubs /climbers would probably be all right, S. crispum and S. laxum. BUT it also depends what part of the county you live in.
