how long would it take for a pear tree to start producing

Answers

What sort of pear is this tree? Full size? On Quince A rootstock to limit growth? Pears are usually 2-3 years old when sold. I can only say about limited rootstock pear. Give them a year, or two years to get well started before taking a crop from them. Just let one or two fruits develope so you can get a taste. Take off any fruit that is swelling, showing fertilisation. Pears can be sensitive to drought, so mulch/water if you are droughted, as they can fail very quickly when establishing.
