Hi, My newly arrived trailing begonia plug instructions tell me to plant in multi-compost. I had plans to fill this years baskets with the contents of my compost bin. Would this home-made compost be too rich for the plugs?

Mix it with some of the soil from your garden - say about 50% of each

Hi Moon grower, thanks for that, It'll have to be a mix with multi compost as my better half has already spread the contents of about a million diferent seed packets in the borders, as a "suck it and see" experiment for this year!

That will be fine Spreader... you might want to use some of those little gel pellets that help to retain water if the baskets are going to be hanging in a sunny exposed spot.

How do I say thanks?
