my auriculas have what looks like a white mould on their roots, what is it ? and how can i cure it please

if they are towards the tips it could just be the natural root hairs. is the 'mould' moving? does it have a small critter inside the mould? if yes it is root aphid. wash the roots carefully to remove the critter and then replant in fresh compost.

many plants have a friendly association with fungi to help them grow better. dont know if this is one of them though.
