Should snowdrops flower in their first year? I planted some earlier in the Autumn but all I have is green leafy stems. Or could it be due to all the rain we have had?

If you planted them last autumn I take it they were dry bulbs; so it could take a year for them to establish themselves. Fingers crossed you'll get flowers next year.

Thank you Moon growe. You people are so clever, and kind, and helpful, and wonderful and all that stuff LOL.

Seriously though thank you very much.

I bought 2 lots, one last year, one this year and took the flowers off both for the 1st year. It will help bulk them up and the anticipation will be all the greater.
