Bought my first clerodendron thomosaie (spelling?) and I am over the moon with this beautiful plant. When it was flowering I put it by my kitchen window. (Morning sun) When it stopped flowering it started to climb up the window. It made 5 seeds, black pods with orange/red on inside. What I need to know is how do I plant the seeds and when. I live in Johannesburg, South Africa. Also when do I cut it down? Thank you very much. E-mail address:

Can't help from the UK but if you Google Clerodendron there's a link on care. I think the word you are after is Thomsonae

Hi, welcome to GoY, Steragram is right, it is thomsoniae,
in the uk seed is sown in spring at 55 - 64deg f, pruning should be done immediately after flowering, {pruning group 11}, Derek.
