I have some early pots in pods in the greenhouse when will it be safe to put them in a sheltered place in the garden ?

I agree with the above.If the foliage is showing,earth them up,so it is covered,in case of frost.This will turn the foliage black,and you might lose them.I also cover mine with fleece, as an added precaution.Another couple of weeks or so,and they should be ok.
