I bought a rhubarb plant from my garden centre this year and it is doing really well with three very large stems growing, a very healthy crown and more stems growing from the bottom. Although I have been told not to harvest this year, it seems such a waste to let them go to seed. Can I pick the three large stems ??

I wouldn't Wellend, let the growth feed the crown for this year. Just watch for it flowering and remove the flower stem as soon as you see.
