Use of slug pellets on edibles

Can I use slug pellets on edible plants like lettuce and carrots. Slugs have eaten all my carrot seedlings.

yes you can but use them sparingly. you could try beer traps and skins of oranges/grapefruits. the slugs etc slither under the fruit and are easy to pick up and get rid of that way.
