Can anyone tell me the name of this tree please

bit hard to tell. are the flowers straight of the wood? if yes and like a pea flower then i'd go for Cercis. A closeup of the flower/leaf would help alot cinders.

Well the flowers are pea lke and come straight from the wood. I took this picture while away in Croatia. Two names came to my mind - Jacaranda and Judas tree, but I cant help with a close up. Sorry

Definitely not a Jacaranda, Cinderella. A Judas Tree sounds likely, though: The flower placement and leaf shape both look like a Cercis, and Judas Tree is Cercis siliquastrum.

it is a cercis then also called judas tree. I have cercis avondale in my plant profile. have a look and see if the flower matches.

Just had a look at your Cercis Seaburngirl. Yes it did look like that. I didnt realise they would grow in this country. Nice one.
