hi, I have a large sleeper planter box created. It is sitting on garden soil as a base but would appreciate some advise on what materials I can use to fill. I have ton of leaves, some bricks and some garden fence posts that I was going to use as a base. Then I was going to top with some sharp sand and compost on the top. Would this work??
Thanks

Many thanks for the comments. The sleeper boxes are 3 blocks deep each and 8ft x 4ft. So they are pretty big. Appreciate the info and will follow your advise. Thanks

I agree with Snoopdog, no bricks or fence posts… If the leaves have been made into leaf mould I would use them for something more valuable than filling a raised bed others follow Snoop's advice.
