every year i plant runner bean seeds in my greenhouse in pots. However, when I subsequently plant the young plants out, they quickly turn yellow and look unhealthy. Subsequent growth and crops are poor. Any advice??

I read that runner beans dislike repotting,so have always started mine off in 3"
peat pots,so when ready to be planted out, the pot will rot down in the soil.Haven't tried a different way,and never had a problem yet.Volunteer is right as well,as they don't like cold nights either.

Do you 'harden' them off properly before planting out? This involves standing them outside each day, and putting them away at night for 2 weeks. If you don't do this they will suffer.
