Does anyone recognise this. It is not a rose by the way, though the flowers look similar.

Is it climbing or a wall shrub? If it's a shrub, it could be carpenteria californica

That is what it is. Too tender for our garden sadly.

You should be able to grow it in a sheltered corner on a warm wall, I would try .

Would very much like to have a sheltered corner on a warm wall. No walls at all where there is any soil.
