Hello I have recently bought a house which has a very large wisteria in the garden. This year it had lots of formed flowers maybe as much as 6 inches long but they never came to anything and the petals are like empty husks and are just falling off. It does not get very much sun but is against a high wall and sheltered - I would think it is quite a few years old.

Thanks... I will try to bear this in mind next year, sadly think I'm out of luck for this year.

Two things might cause this - sudden frost or sudden fall in temperature between the flower forming and then trying to bloom (that's certainly the conditions we've had here in London) or shortage of water.
